Why is this proposal on the ballot?
The 2024 Charter Revision Commission reviewed the New York City Charter to ensure its efficiency and responsiveness to all New Yorkers, held public hearings and conducted outreach to solicit public input, and offered the following suggested changes.

Это предложение вносит в устав города поправки, требующие более подробной ежегодной оценки городских объектов, предписывает учитывать потребности объектов при планировании бюджета и меняет сроки планирования капиталовложений.
Голосование «За» потребует более подробной оценки потребностей городских объектов в техническом обслуживании, обязательного учета потребностей объектов при планировании капиталовложений и изменения сроков такого планирования. Голосование «Против» оставит законы неизменными.
What this proposal means:
The City must assess the cost of maintaining city facilities, infrastructure, and investments and publish these assessments in capital planning reports.

It would expand criteria used to assess maintenance costs for city property. The proposal would also change the due date for capital planning reports and the date for the associated public hearing.
